“Zorg in Nederland” by Roel Visser

Photography // Wednesday, 26 Feb 2014

I know almost nothing about about Roel Visser, except that he is Dutch. The book I looked at wasn’t in English and neither is his website, but he has shown a decent bit around Europe. The images are from the book “Zorg in Nederland”, in which it seems the man was given complete access to a hospital. In the sprawling book there are glimpses of surgeries, childbirth, mental disabilities, suffering families, and rehabilitation. visser is very thorough and elegantly captures his subjects, these are very heartfelt images. Other projects on his website include businessmen, party culture, odd sex cults, and drug addicts.

View more of his work here.
