Despite blindness, multiple sclerosis, and lung cancer, photographer Flo Fox continues to shoot the streets of New York City. No longer able to hold a camera, she instructs her aides to take photos for her. Back in 1980, Tom Snyder interviewed Fox about her photography work right as she begun using a cane to walk and was loosing some of her eyesight. It’s fascinating to see how her illnesses has affected her physically, but has not diminished her creative spirit in any way. A few years back she appeared in movie “Joan Rivers: a Piece of Work,” which brought significant new attention to the artist work and life.
