The work of Jade FinnanPhotography // Wednesday, 18 Jun 2014
The next generation of bright young things on their paths to take the world by storm are already showcasing their promising talents in graduate exhibitions across the country. University of Salfords’ fashion photography graduate Jade Finnan being one of them.
Her lo-fi documentation is loaded with playful innocence and fun. Unafraid to encourage her subjects to strike a pose, her projects titled ‘throwing shapes,’ ‘in shapes,’ ‘shape shifters’ (amongst other title variations) highlight a fascination with form and movement. The clothes depicted becoming part of energetic new narratives that encourage their audiences to seek, and enjoy in, an unabashed freedom and abandon.
