The Minimalist Architectural Photography of Luisa Lambri

Photography // Thursday, 12 Jun 2014

Luisa Lambri offers a fresh perspective on architectural photography. She captures abstract details of building interiors, which emulate bold, minimalist paintings. Lumbri is also influenced by the landscape surrounding these buildings and explores the juxtaposition between man-made structures and their natural setting. “She travels the world photographing architectural interiors, often spending extended periods of time experiencing the buildings before she begins shooting. Her images give a sense of experience of being in the space as her photographs not only capture the physical topology of these structures but elaborate on the profound psychological and emotional responses they elicit from their inhabitants,” states Luhring Agustine.
