Randy Taylor's Hurricane Sandy-Damaged Photos

Photography // Wednesday, 29 Jan 2014

"I descended into the smelly, wet, and dark bowels of the powerless building, which had flooded floor-to-ceiling with contaminated water..." Photographer Randy Taylor lost 40 years of his work that he had archived in a storage facility in New York to Hurricane Sandy. This series of photos is the result of his efforts to salvage what he could. He estimates he recovered less than 0.1 of the images in his storage unit. (via)
