For the past nine years, photographer Elinor Carucci has been developing her body of work titled “Mother”. The series began when Carucci was pregnant with her twins Eden and Emmanuelle and continued through their youth, documenting the intimate moments shared between children and their parents. Carucci portrayed not just the joyous moments but also the tear-filled realities of everyday life as a child. Her images are full of raw emotions and tender interactions emphasized by her use of light and focus. “Mother” will be on display at the Edwynn Houk Gallery in New York until May 3.
