Celebrity portraiture can quickly get tiresome, redundant and unoriginal. There are thousands of photos of the same celebrity and after a while who really cares, right? Victoria Will is a photographer based in New York, who does shoot traditional photographs of celebrities, but her Tintypes portrait are where it’s at! Her work has been garnishing a lot of recent attention due to a haunting photo she shot of the late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman. Tintypes are obviously not as commonly used today as they were back in the 1860’s and 1870s, but when done right the final results are stunning.
