For twelve years, photographer Robin Schwartz has been documenting her daughter Amelia’s interactions with wild and exotic animals. The project began when Amelia was 3 and grew to become more of a photographic collaboration between mother and daughter as the years progressed. With compositional references to classical paintings, her photographs capture an intimacy and camaraderie between Amelia and her unique friends. Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, a photo book of the series will be published through the Aperture Foundation.
