The UK Bboy Championships held every year in London, UK is one of the premier bboy events of the world alongside, Freestyle Session, The IBE, The International Battle of the Year, The Red Bull BC1 and the R-16 Korea World Championships. The UK CHAMPS has been holding World Bboy Championships annually since 1996 and is considered one of the events with the highest level of competition with the best crews from all over the world competing for world domination. At this year’s R-16 World Championships we will kick off our festivities in the first weekend of September with the Korean Eliminations for this event with a Bboy Crew Battle 2 events for Funk Styles, Popping solo competition and 2 on 2 Locking Competition. The UK CHAMPIONSHIPS are held in October of every year with this year’s event going down October 11 -12.
The youth centre is slightly annoying to find because there are no subway stations nearby and therefore you have to use the bus. There are many ways to get the youth centre and if you can read Korean or know someone who can read Korean take a look at the above Korean link and use the Incheon Bus Journey Planner http://bus.incheon.go.kr/iw/jsp/mapService/RetrieveOptpathMthdM.laf Otherwise, if you are coming from Seoul, take the subway line 1 to Songnae station. Come out exit 1, cross the main street, walk away from the station, and it’s the first bus stop. Take the 16-1 (the stop is where the bus terminates/starts) and get off at 장수사거리 Jangsu Sa-guh-rhee (Jangsu intersection). It should take about 10mins to get there. Get off the bus and walk with the traffic to the intersection, then turn left crossing the road. Walk straight for about 500m and you should find it on your right.
