The San Francisco International Film Festival returns April 19–May 3 for two weeks of cinematic discovery. World-renowned talent is assembled by the International, like awardees Kenneth Branagh, Barbara Kopple and Pierre Rissient for local Bay Area audiences. This year's events include Academy Award nominee Sam Green's latest live documentary project The Love Song of R Buckminster Fuller, with live music by Yo La Tengo. The week-long festival features 200 films of international and local distinction—highlighting new works by Hirokazu Kore-eda, Maïwenn, Stephen Elliott, and Kirby Dick, and Amy Ziering.
