"The Bitch's Sister" zine from TheFlopBox

February 23, 2012

Popularized during World War 1 by Italian and German pilots, Nose Art was the practice of personalizing your fighting aircraft.  Commonly, these paintings were on the fuselage and were painted by civilian artists, and talented amateur servicemen.  Often the imagery was scantily clad women accompanied by a witty pun.  TheFlopBox recently released a limited edition zine titled “The Bitch’s Sister” that highlights Nose Art from found photographs.
