"Sharpened" Pencils by Dalton Ghetti

February 21, 2013

Connecticut-based carpenter Dalton M. Ghetti "sharpens" pencils as a hobby and meditation. To create the tiny sculptures he carves the graphite points using a sewing needle and a small metal blade. It can take months and sometimes years to create a sculpture by very slowly removing specks of graphite one at a time. Peep more of the incredibly intricate sculptures here. (via artstormer)
