Parlor Gallery will open a new group show this weekend, “Pink Noise," exploring the overlap of visual art and music on Saturday, February 4.
Pink Noise is an acoustic term used to “tune,” a room for the best audio reproduction. Parlor will showcase some of the best artists inspired by music to create their artwork. Many of the “Pink Noise” artists have made their living in the music industry, with highlights include Mark Mothersbaugh (of DEVO)’s radical rugs, Thom Lessner’s humorous illustrations of hair metal bands, and Asbury Park’s Mike McLaughlin’s photographs of chaotic mosh pits.
Join Parlor Gallery in Asbury Park for this February 4, 2012, from 7 to 11 pm. at 717 Cookman Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
Artists include Mark Mothersbaugh, Mike Ski, Thom Lessner, Mike McLaughlin, Heather Gabel, Daniel Elden, Alexandre Boisseau, Ryan Cronin, Terry Griffiths, Robert Piersanti, Thomas Meyers, and Midwest Pressed.
