Remedy Gallery is a project by the German-Chinese creative agency, Benyi, and its creative director, Jens Pieper. This exhibition incorporates both Chinese and European artists, presenting the artists' work to different audiences and cultures.

The first exhibition, WE COME IN PEACE, is opening on the 17th of May 2019. It features works by European artists, Marok of Lodown Magazine, Superblast of HVW8 and House of Vans, and Chinese artist, ROCKLEE, also from House of Vans. The artworks will be presented at Benyi Global Headquarter in Futian District, Shenzhen. The title of the show plays with the idea that certain cultures and countries are invading others but mean “no harm”. Remedy Gallery aims to unite two different cultures, identifying their similarities and differences to use them in a productive, creative, but non-nationalistic way.

Marok, known as Thomas Marecki to his parents, is a graphic designer, painter, illustrator and all-around maverick-genius whose creative radius ranges from publishing a magazine over t-shirt designs to the animation of diverse video projects.

In 1995, Marok founded Lodown magazine. Pretty soon Lodown developed into a creative platform where ideas are exchanged and developed. It led to the publication of several books and videos on contemporary art and graphic design. Furthermore, Marok participated in several exhibitions with the likes of Futura and Haze and held solo-shows in Japan, Australia, the UK, and Germany. Marok still appreciates t-shirts as a perfect canvas for Pop Art and has designed for companies like Supreme, Stüssy, and Newburgh, as well as producing catalogs for Carhartt.
