The Trophy Room LA is thrilled to present our inaugural exhibition with Los Angeles-based artist Michael Draghi titled A California Far Far Away, a solo exhibition featuring works on view from September 16-October 22, 2023. There will be an artist reception on Saturday, September 16th, from 5-9 p.m. please join the artist and gallery in celebration.
The visual language of Michael Draghi’s art practice is influenced by the artist's upbringing in Southern California. “As an artist, I am constantly inspired by California's vibrant and dynamic culture. I love incorporating various elements into my paintings, from colorful emojis and playful phrases to intricate three-dimensional objects and iconic surfing imagery. By blending these diverse elements, I aim to create unique and engaging pieces that capture the energy and spirit of the Golden State.”
Matthew Gardocki has been working and exhibiting in galleries for the last 20+ years. After a number of years spent working for gallerists Patrick Painter, Mark Moore, and Billy Shire (La Luz de Jesus Gallery), he has decided to strike out on his own. Taking his experience working in both the Contemporary and Lowbrow/Outsider art scenes, he looks to bridge the gap by putting on high-quality exhibitions and a small retail space offering artist-made goods and gallery editions.
