Hashimoto Contemporary is pleased to present The Shadow of The Sun, a solo exhibition by Brooklyn-based artist Scott Albrecht. The exhbition will be Albrecht's fourth solo presentation at Hashimoto Contemporary.
A few years ago, when we visited Scott at his Brooklyn studio, he said "I tend to observe and write a lot about the things happening around me, and the work becomes a distillation of the ideas I’ve found to be important and don’t want to lose sight of." The Shadow of The Sun feels like a practice in observation, a capturing of time, a patience of letting the creative directions grow organically. Scott is meticulous but open, and the works thrives in a space of complex abstraction and beautiful surprises. —Evan Pricco
