Today is the last day to see the transcendental and transformative new works by Eliot Greenwald in Weller Known Facts at Harper's East Hampton. Supernatural seems like an apt description in Greenwald's newest works, where in the past a lone automobile seems to be meandering its way through a moonlight night, these works seem to be speaking to a long hike on a psychedelic trail that ends with you going into a different realm. They are lush and otherworldly, a desire to escape and creating a world where the escape might have to be into a different sphere of the brain. That the works are creating onto rounded and oblong shaped canvases is part of the journey and the effect of the works, and perhaps what makes Greenwald one of our favorite painters today. —Evan Pricco
