On today's A Portfolio, we look at the works of Taylor Anton White, who just opened a solo show, Meat Dream, at L21 Gallery in Mallorca, and who we have been a fan of for years. "My work gives form to fleeting memories and the suppressed mania crawling beneath the carpet of the Western home," he has said in the past. "These images recount crisis and triumph, momentum and confinement, lust and lassitude. Finding stillness in the recording of arguments within the process of painting and drawing, I return to my childhood freezer filled with popsicles and secret passageways."
Recent solo exhibitions include Pulpo Gallery in Murnau, Germany (2022); Roberts Projects in Los Angeles, CA (2021); Marquee Projects in Bellport, NY (2021); and Monica King Contemporary in New York, NY (2020). He has been featured in group exhibitions at High Noon Gallery in New York, NY (2022); Galeria Fan Reus in Mallorca, Spain (2021); Everyday Gallery in Antwerp, Belgium (2021); and Newchild Gallery in Antwerp, Belgium (2021), among others.
