On today's A Portfolio, we look at the paintings of music, performance and fine artist, Ahoo Maher.
Ahoo Maher, was born in 1990 into an artistic family in Tehran/Iran, and has lived in Austria since 2008. Between 2009 and 2011 she studied music education at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. in 2017 she completed her studies in contextual painting under Ashley Scheirl at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
So far, she has participated in four solo exhibitions and numerous international group exhibitions.
Since 2013 she has appeared in the field of improvisation / new music / performance with different ensembles.
She works as an independent artist, Performer and curator in Vienna. She presents her works in the form of paintings, installation, and performances. The main subject of her work is living conditions from the perspective of women.
