One of the most politically active artists we cover, Iranian-born, NYC-based Icy & Sot, have recently created an installation at Four Freedom Park on Roosevelt Island in NYC for "Eyes on Iran." The work, "Bricks of Revoltuion," featuring what the brothers say is "Engraved with the names of a fraction of those arrested during this revolution, these bricks represent the strength of the activists who are currently risking their lives, inside and outside prisons, to fight oppression. This installation is an homage to political prisoners and all those bravely paving the way to revolution in Iran."
The work will be on display until January 1st, 2023.
