In collaboration with Madrid's Ink and Movement, our friend Franco Fasoli JAZ recently launched a fundraising project to release a monograph celebrating ten years of his artistic career. This independent project hopes to create a self-published monograph that has been compiled with the help of people from his native Argentina and Spain. "I wanted to have a clear image of the entire process and make a statement in the struggle of being an artist who tries to create a bridge between what we know as urban art and contemporary art – or even a wider perspective of arts."

Público / Privado showcases the dual practice of the well-known artist - his public street art and his studio work. "I try not to just make a compilation of images but to give an insight of what it was like to be traveling and exploring the world and how the explosion of street art gave us the chance to see inside other cultures and explore new languages. I am aware that talking about a 10-year monograph from a young artist is a bit pretentious, but it's also necessary. Especially in the context of this movement in Argentina and Latin America, which I experienced from the beginning." The 'public' section of the book features an introduction by friend and artist, Elian Chali, and the private section includes text by Diana Aisenberg, a major contemporary artist and art teacher in Latin America.

"Since 2011, I have been involved with the contemporary scene in Argentina and how that scene reacts to the exploitation of urban art. Since then, I have seen many possibilities one can act upon as an artist. I studied with a number of contemporary artists who criticize and problematize work in public spaces, so for me, it was natural to push the boundaries of my own artist profile. It's something many urban artists in Argentina share, and I had endless conversations with Elian and Ever about this subject. I consider it a valuable chance to shift our way of thinking and to redefine the practice between public and private space."
