Last year, we showed you a Banksy mural from the time around teh Queen's Jubilee, ridiculing child labor under the her reign. Well, the piece has been chiseled from its original location in London and is now up for Auction in Miami. Valued between $500,000 and $700,000, the extraction of the piece has angered the local community who were proud to have it on their streets. We understand everything is fair game in the world of, well, the world of Banksy street pieces, but what do you think?
According to Fox News (we coudn't resist Banksy, sorry), "Poundland, the store that occupies the building, said it had nothing to do with the removal." And, according to the Guardian, neighborhood leaders in Wood Green in London has requested the UK Arts Council try and get the piece back from the Miami Auction house. This was as of last night... more to come.
