Brian was born in Detroit MI where he was influenced by urban art work at a very early age. This had influenced his work to this date. “When I first saw graffiti and urban art work in Detroit I never even thought it was done by real people, there was always this mystery and magic behind the work. It was cool to just see images that were not there yesterday just pop up out of nowhere.” Brian’s art work can be seen everywhere from NY, L.A., Miami, and in group show across the U.S. Brian describes his work best in his own words- “Fun, imaginative, and whimsical but, with a touch of the dark side that hides within.” Brian is currently pursuing a degree in graphic arts and is an active member of Jacksonville’s emerging arts community and founder of the Jacksonville lowbrow artist run blog, www.TheOuterBox.com. Thanks Adam. To answer your question I guess my mind is screwed up basicly..LOL. I live in Detroit most of my child hood. Grew up around a lof of urban art, graffiti, tagging, stuff like that. Then I moved to Florida that is consumed with Disney World, Tourist, sunshine, and beaches. I guess I took the two and melded them together. Half graffiti and a little on the rough/dark side mixed with the whimsical world of Disney and illustrations.

I like the neon color on the "Embrace" image.
Maybe you could try to use more eye-pop neon colors?

Please give me feedback on my pieces in my reader submission post from last week "Reader Are Submission - Devon Maloy".

Thanks,
Devon

Saw your piece in Mad Magazine last night.  Congratulations!  I love the "Happiness" piece.  Hilarious, and sad.

Finally finished this weeks weekly painting( sorry for the kinda blurry image). The painting is a throw back to the good ol bunny character I do from time to time. I haven’t painted “just” the bunny character in a while so, I thought I would pull him out from under the bed to play for a while. The title of this piece is “Love Lost”, it is painted on 8×10 canvas board, acrylic paints, and signed and dated by me. As what I have been doing with my weekly paintings, I have posted this up for bidding on eBay.com to go to the highest offer. Bidding starts at just 10.00 and the auction is only gonna last for 3 days. I usually let these auctions go for 5 days but with it being so close to next week I wanted to end this auction by Sunday at 10pm. Check it out and happy bidding!-B.G.

Check out my auction at http://shop.ebay.com/briankell/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=25

Check out my website at http://bgrayart.com

-Thanks!
