My name is David, and I'm a painter/illustrator from Londonderry, NH. I use a variety of mediums, mostly oil painting and graphite, which I layer atop one another digitally.
I paint and draw daily, and view my artwork as a way of conveying an internal conversation that goes on within all of us. Like a translation of all the thoughts that are behind our actions and decisions.

Here are a few of my recent traditional(er) pieces, please click on them for a larger view:

"...there's just a ribbon holding us together..."
done in multiple pieces: oil on panel, graphite drawing and digital paint.
there are ties that hold lovers together...

"simply unemployed"
done in water color scraps, graphite drawing and digital manipulation
oh the freedom of having no job...an no money=)

"take a look at temptation and take a bite of life's realization"
acrylic painting with graphite and digital paint.
a piece i did while reflection on the story of adam and eve.

"burning the birdhouse"
done in oil, pencil and digital.
A piece about loosing a home...

Here's some of my straight digital work...something new...

"adorably pathetic"
straight digital
a piece done in frustration with my friends...

"vander amidst paintings"
this is another straight digital done as a self portrait...kinda

Please view more of my art on my online portfolio at: http://vilorphiamatrix.daportfolio.com
Take care and I hope to hear from you soon!

Wow I love the top image, I had a larger view and the colours and emotion just blew me away! I can see a link to your DeviantART portfolio, but do you have a normal user account I can check out also?

i just found myself to be featured in the Reader's Art part of the website...and i am so so thankful to Juxtapoz! this is such a huge act of kindness and support to be shown as a young artist. the magazine has really opened my eyes to so much of the art culture, and now to be a part of that is just such an honor!
there are so many amazing artists on this website, and in these forums, and i wish you all luck in the future!

again thank you, and thanks to everyone who views and comments on my work!
