Just because you now somebody who has the inside connect.
You have worked so many years painting the same shit.
You see somebody elses work that is better and unknown and steal it.

Paint what everbody else does.
Don't take criticism well.
Paint girls as though you're a child molester.
Are rich and suffer on purpose.
Sleep with people because you read a book by Henry Miller.

Have a website or blog that is suppose to celebrate but
instead proclaims your own wanna be narcisistic self as artist
because you can't commit to the art.

Oh and yeah and creative and talented, but like hundreds of other artists will never be talked about in ten years.

If you had nothing could you make a fuckin house

Im a janitor and an artist - which one puta madre.

Do you think that ethinicity and art have anything to do
with each other?

Think a eurocentric gentrified mf can have more talent than
a ghetto baby break dancing at age 2?

Oh you take offense to this because
a. artist dont live in the ghetto
b. you moved to that area after the rent raised to $3,000 a month
c. you buy fair trade coffee.
d. either you take offense to all of this or
e. you were born exotic and socially exceptable.

Take 2 semesters in Basquite school of thought MF
and don't call me when you need $20 for your crack

I find it funny the person posting this worthless rant tries daily to sell paintings on Facebook of all places. Chances are if you bitch about stealing peoples work you are also at some point guilty of the same shit and haven't been fingered yet.

I kinda get where the author is comming from. When it comes to street art the representation out there doesn't reflect the origin of the culture and many of the artist we read about in this very publication come from the suburbs and went to art school and studied graffic design.
They just did a few illegal acts until there name became recognized and boom, they get a sneaker deal or gallery showing.
Using Basquiat is a bad example because he wasn't really interested in graffiti and he used the streets as advertisement which is what the kids out there do today to get recognized its just unfortunate that there's not enough BLK artists being sought after and recognized. Shocked

Are you really a artist??
That is a good question but my answer is yes.
even if it is coming from street art i call them artist because they committed some illegal acts doesn't make them  different from any other artist with a name out there. everyone begins from some where but many  take that risk for their artistic needs which i think is practically  normal for some one to do.
