Hey there, I'm Patrick Gannon.  
I'm a cut paper artist living in Tokyo.  Thanks for checking out my work.  

All my work is a collage of natural and fantastical imagery built up in layers of paper, often laid out on wood.

This is really really great. I think an octopus would make a great subject for a future piece. Whataya think?

Believe it or not, I was just thinking the exact same thing.  Might've been the sea air I was breathing, but I started ruminating that it might be time to do tentacles again. 'til then, you might enjoy these:

For those of you who will be in the Tokyo area later this month (or who've been looking for an excuse to fly to Japan!), my first solo show, Night of the Yokai - Patrick Gannonの摩訶不思議な切絵展 will be opening at Gallery Cafe Enyen October 25, 2010 and run until November 7th.

In addition to the cut paper art I've been working on for the past couple years, I'm also experimenting with some big twists on paper art.  I think it's gonna be very, very cool.
