Gateway Gallery is proud to present photo works by designer/photographer Gino Ng, taken during his journey to Israel, Tibet and Vietnam. Using the same creativity with which he envisions designs for the theatre, he set off on a trek that provided him with incredible opportunities to capture the “light” that he saw along the way. These photographs are presented in his Journal of Light.
Mr. Ng has amassed a long list of credits and accolades as a scenic designer in the USA and Asia. He is currently designing Noises Off! in Pennsylvania, as well as a children’s musical, Skyboy, that will première at Tribeca Performing Arts Center in February 2011 and will tour to a couple of theaters in New York City and Los Angeles. He is also designing Blue Butterfly, a Chinese musical that will premiere soon in Taiwan. Mr. Ng has served as an adjunct professor and the resident designer for the Department of Theater at Lehigh University since 2004. His photographic work has been shown previously in Boston and Los Angeles.
Mr. Ng will speak at the official opening on Saturday, March 13 at 4 p.m. The Exhibition continues until May 31. The gallery is located at 11760 Gateway Boulevard, Los Angeles, and is open on Sundays from noon to 2 p.m., or by appointment. Admission to the gallery exhibition is free.
