'Modscape My World' @ M Modern on Friday, March 12th, 2010 - solo show: George Perrou

Please join M Modern Gallery in Palm Springs, CA on Friday, March 12th, 2010 from 7:30p-10:00p at the Opening Reception for "MODSCAPE MY WORLD".

This will serve as M Modern Gallery's first solo exhibition featuring the original paintings and prints of artist GEORGE PERROU.  His works are colorful, vibrant, expertly rendered and should fit beautifully with any Mid-Century Modern decor and most contemporary homes as well.

Perrou's artwork aligns with the Mid-Century Modernist aesthetic which M Modern's specialization is internationally known.  Best described as "Mod-Culture", Perrou's style speaks directly of the Coachella Valley landscape.  I am powerfully moved by vastness," says Perrou, "of uninterrupted sight and the illusion of endlessness. And because Palm Springs is intentionally designed as a retreat, it's a vast, blank canvas where the bold, unconventional lines of a Wexler can stand and assert themselves amongst the whimsical Dr. Seuss-like palm trees.  This artwork is my attempt to Modscape My World."
