Orlando Arocena is a Mexican-Cuban American artist specializing in digital illustration. The clean, angular nature of vector illustration lends itself to a certain sci-fi flavor that permeates throughout Arocena's work. 'As a kid growing up in a “cultural melting pot” neighborhood, Orlando loved seeing what other cultures found important. While eating dinner at friends’ houses, he would take note of what physical objects were precious to each family. Orlando found the textiles from his mother, a seamstress, and the cabinet sketches from his father, a handyman carpenter, to find the structure of his creativity. As a Pratt Institute graduate in design, Orlando used his interest in art history and culture to inspire his work. Now, Orlando is a creative consultant working on some of the largest brands in the world.'
