Georgia based artist Tran Nguyen was born in Vietnam and raised in the states. She received her BFA in illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Tran says she is "fascinated with creating visuals that can be used as a psycho-therapeutic support vehicle, exploring the mind's dreamscape." This translates in her Alice in Wonderland-esque series of proportionally skewed women laying on and around their comparatively small homes. Her paintings are created by first using colored pencil on paper and then overlaying the illustrations with diluted acrylics. Tran is currently represented by Richard Solomon and Thinkspace Gallery.
