Lucy Hardie was born on January 27 1984 in the Goulburn Valley region of Victoria, Australia. She began her education at a Waldorf School that her parents built on their farm and it was here that her love of art was encouraged. Primarily self taught, she held her first solo exhibition of drawings and paintings at Synergy Gallery in Melbourne in 2007, which sold out on Opening Night. Lucy is currently living in Ocean Grove, Victoria and studying a Bachelor of Illustration at NMIT in Melbourne. 'To help others experience Life's infinite beauty and mystery more deeply, is my greatest aspiration. Art as a catalyst for a more liberated and embracing self and worldview. 'I am influenced by the work of Ernst Fuchs, Vali Myers, Zdzislaw Beksinski, Gustav Klimt, Vania Zouravliov, Remedios Varo, Harry Clarke and H.J Ford. I am also inspired by fairy tales from all over the world and Integral Psychology / Philosophy. Most of all I am inspired by being ALIVE.'
