Courtney Brims grew up in the outskirts of Brisbane collecting dead beetles, dressing up as Ursula from “The Little Mermaid” and drawing pink unicorns and prehistoric birds. She graduated with a degree in interior design from Brisbane's Queensland University of Technology before becoming a fulltime artist and illustrator in 2008. Since then she has had solo shows in Los Angeles, Brisbane and Sydney and numerous group shows across Australia and the UK. Courtney has created work for Zimmermann, Roadshow Entertainment, Element, Brancott Estate Wines, Pony Rider, Random House Books, Perfection Fresh, La Marelle, Something Else, Little White Lies, Hurley, DV Mode Magazine, 1300 Flowers and the Finders Keepers markets. Her intricate pencil drawings depict a sweet and sour wonderland that often focus on concepts of reality vs myth and the beauty of nature across all stages of life.
