Caitlin Hackett’s work is an intoxicating combination of beautiful, grotesque, and morbidly romantic imagery, similar to a Dark Crystal dreams and Victorian nightmares; she creates work pulling from a wide spectrum of myths, fairy tales and natural fantasy. Mostly rendered with ballpoint pens and watercolors, it exhibits a level of detail, skill and patience that is difficult to surpass.
