It was a big month out in Oahu this February, as the annual POW! WOW! Hawaii 2014 came together. With artists coming in from all over the globe to paint in the streets of Honolulu, we were fortunate enough to be able to take part in the action. With a massive collaboration on a 151ft. long wall, artists Hannah Stouffer and Andrew Schultz, both now reigning from Los Angeles, CA thew some paint up, creating what can only be called an enormous, creative feat on both their parts. Here's a collection of the final piece, in addition to some progress shots from our friends that were out there as well.
Centered around a week-long event in Hawaii, POW! WOW! has grown into a global network of artists and organizes gallery shows, lecture series, schools for art and music, mural projects, a large creative space named Lana Lane Studios, concerts, and live art installations across the globe. The central event takes place during Valentine’s Day week in February in the Kaka’ako district of Honolulu, and brings over a hundred international and local artist together to create murals and other forms of art.
