Aleksandra Waliszewska and a little bit of Gore

Illustration // Friday, 27 Jun 2014

Aleksandra Waliszewska is a Warsaw-based graphic artist who is highly nterested in depicting states of emotion in her art, allowing the narratives to evolve by themselves. Though her work can be often dark at times, there is still a hint of playfulness in her gory renderings. She sites pre-modern art as a big influence and Hans Memling, Enguerrand Quarton and Nicolas Poussi in particular.
