Some friends of the recently passed Artem Voevodin aka Afrika, are attempting to put together a mobile exhibition of his work and take it to the cities in which he had a strong presence in such as Chicago, Detroit, New Orleans, Cincinnati, Dayton and Oakland. Aside from painting graffiti in a number of cities, Voevodin left behinda plethora of unseen photographs and drawings. As many of his friends would tell you, Voevodin truly embodied a spirit of exploration, play, and a love for life.

"I lost one of my best friends earlier this year. His name was Artem Voevodin. It’s hard to describe him except to say Artem was an enigma to most. Few people were not envious of his way of life. He hopped trains across the country numerous times, built sculptures for festivals, painted graffiti, loved life and made friends every second of the way. People gravitated towards his energy and charisma, resulting in a truly amazing network of friends around the country. How could you not be envious of someone so loved and so free?"
