Tonight, legendary New York Graffiti writer and artist, Daze, will be having a solo exhibition entitled “Indigo Dreams” at TT Underground in New York. An important figure of the graffiti scene of the ‘70s and ‘80s, Daze will be showing new paintings, sculptures and prints. Some of the themes and ideas the artist is working around are Bluesman, abandoned tunnels, The Big Boss, nighttime street scenes, sexy women, and tough guys. The opening reception tonight is from 6 – 9 P.M. and the exhibition runs through the 19th of January.
Daze words on this exhibition, "The Big Boss is a character I created some years ago but keeps returning from time to time. He's a composite of an organized crime figure, CEO of a Fortune 500 company, politician, and stand up comedian. He's a shot caller, big fish in an even bigger pond, a man with an insatiable appetite. He's at the pinnacle of his success, monarch of all he surveys."
