One of the Los Angeles’s original all city kings, Chaka, resurfaced a while back from years of silence. Stories about his graffiti have been circulating forever and he became a folklore of sorts. Caught, tried, and convicted in 1991, Chaka was accused of tagging the interior of a civic-center elevator as he left a courtroom and was arrested, and charged again. This video documents the artist’s first solo art show in 2009.
