The Art of John KacereErotica // Friday, 18 May 2012
Today we give you a look at some exquisite paintings from the late American photorealist, John Kacere, who almost exclusively concentrated on the mid-section of the female body. Kacere painted his first photorealist painting in 1969 involving the mid-section of a female dressed in lingerie. It was over three times life size Kacerecontinued this type of painting throughout the rest of his career making it an icon of the photorealism movement. In the early 1980s Kacere branched away from this theme and included the entire body of a female in lingerie but returned to his original mid-section of the female body in 1988.Kacere's paintings are figurative but still can be considered still lifes or even landscapes.
