1968: ITALIAN RADICAL DESIGN is the newest project from Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari’s TOILETPAPER in collaboration with the famed art collector and DESTE Foundation in Athens founder Dakis Joannou. Founded in the late 1960s by a progressive group of Italian designers, the Radical Design movement was firmly opposed to the ethics of good design. In an attempt to document in a book his unparalleled collection of Radical Design furniture, Joannou commissioned the creative masterminds of TOILETPAPER Magazine to create a book that beautifully celebrates a period that marked a revolutionary shift in stylistic direction in Italian design.
