A couple of interesting things have arisen from this new series of paintings by design and art collective, Dorothy. One, it's amazing how much everyone can recognize a multi-national corporation's logo even without the type, and two, just how simple can a multi-national corporation/brand's logo be? For example, Coca-Cola, which you see above.

Dorothy explains of the new project, "We’re working on a series of paintings that strip famous logos back to their basic graphic forms. Creating pieces that we think are artworks in their own right." They do sort of show off a minimal, high art look when treated this way.
