On September 8th, Working Class, a documentary by Jeffery Durkin investigating the lives of Mike Maxwell and Mike Giant, will premiere at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park, San Diego. The film is loosely inspired by Charles Dickens' novel A Tale of Two Cities. Being the great piece of literature that it is, it's relevance still survives today.

The documentary highlights the strong will of these artists to persist under various social pressures and to create their own fortune. Both Giant and Maxwell have been involved with underground art for some time and they both identify strongly with working class people, who are a big inspiration for their art. If you're in the San Diego area, grab a ticket and check it out.
