Wink Space: A Kaleidoscope in a Shipping ContainerJuxtapoz // Tuesday, 22 Jul 2014
At the 2013 Kobe Biennale Masakazu Shirane and Saya Miyazaki took up the challenge of creating an environment inside an international shipping container, they called it Wink Space. A mind-bending, super trippy, gigantic prism constructed by mirrored sheets folded like origami. Held together by zippers the immersive modular installation has the ability to open and close like windows creating even more radical change, and making it the world’s first zipper modular installation. The outcome? A life-sized kaleidoscope.
