Wheatpaste Art Collective: "On the Wall" in San FranciscoJuxtapoz // Sunday, 01 Jul 2012
Together with D-Structure, Wheatpaste Art Collective will present a collection of stickable posters and canvas wall art during the next San Francisco First Friday opening at 8 pm on Friday, July 6th, 2012. The show will run through Monday, August 6th, 2012. D-Structure is located at 520 Haight Street in San Francisco.
Wheatpaste’s Posters that Stick are perfect for the apartment or dorm dweller – with no tape or tacks required, these fabric wall decals are a unique and rad way to decorate your living area without leaving any marks or holes in your walls.
Canvas Wall Art by Wheatpaste is a more substantial art option for teens and twentysomethings ready to get serious about making a statement with wall art. Printed on artist-grade canvas and made in the USA, this exclusive and unique wall art collection showcases some of the coolest artists working today.
Wheatpaste’s Mission: To raise awareness of the underground movement of talented artists who tag buildings. Such artists often use a homemade glue called “wheat paste,” hence the company’s name. Wheatpaste’s goal is to make the art of the daring underground artists available to the public on canvas wall art, wall art stickers, giant wall decals, removable wallpaper, and much more. Perhaps the most important function of Wheatpaste.com is to create a connection between these talented artists and art buyers. The type of original art that’s available at Wheatpaste.com is highly original and will add a unique flair to any home or office.
Wheatpaste Art Collective is thrilled to be a part of this exhibition at D-Structure San Francisco First Friday art opening on July 6th, 2012. Find more info at www.wheatpaste.com or the Facebook event page.
