Wastelandscape by Elise Morin and Clémence EliardJuxtapoz // Tuesday, 02 Aug 2011
Mommy, where did all the CDs go? Well, at least 65,000 of them ended up in the Wastelandscape installation by Elise Morin and Clémence Eliard in Paris' Centquatre. The installation, featuring the 65k CDs hand strewn together over 500 square-meters, will be on view through September 10, 2011.
As the artist's note, "Made of petroleum, this reflecting slick of CDs forms a still sea of metallic dunes; the artwork's monumental scale reveals the precious aspect of a small daily object." I think our TLC album is in one of those dunes somewhere.
