Vari Acoes Urbanas: New Solo from Zezao in Sao Paulo

Zezão’s new collection of pieces opened this weekend at Choque Cultural in São Paulo. Titled Vari Ações Urbanas, transports the viewer into an alter reality. Like his underground works, the gallery has been transformed into a dark, but welcoming environment complete with gilded framed canvases, TV installation, and even a fish tank. His work beautifully reacts to, frames, and draws its aesthetic from São Paulo’s chaotic urban landscape.

 

It’s a rare treat to have a full collection of Zezão’s work in such an intricately laid out gallery exhibition. Our friends at Lost Art were on the scene and documented the impressive show:
