Two shows at Lazarides' spaces: Emma Tooth and Alana Richards

There is still time to go check out two separate solo shows presented by Lazarides Gallery in both London and Newcastle at the Outsiders spaces. First, you can do Emma Tooth's Concilium Plebis at Greek Street in London, closing this Saturday, November 27. Then you have Alana Richards' Barely Breathing at Outsiders in Newcastle open through Januuary 8, 2011.

Emma Tooth is described as painting the "ubiquitous 'Chavs' and 'Scallies' in the style of Renaissance paintings.

Alana Richards' work is "inspired by baroque painters, but despite some scratched, painted-over suggestions of halo’s, there are certainly no saints here. Instead, we're confronted with accidental sinners, portraits of human emotion and physical experience."
