Our research notes that Belgian artist Arne Quinze's The Sequence public art installation is over 3 years old now, but we saw some great pictures of the piece online this morning and noted how as the piece has aged, it is as if the trees and surrounding buildings has grown into eachother with the sculpture. As we have been debating the merits of public art in our office recently, this is just another example of how a project that seemingly contrasts the existing infrastructure grows into and becomes a perfect companion to the neighborhood. Beautiful work.
