'Hi, I’m Kirsten Rothbart. I’m an illustration and comic art student from Kassel, Germany— where I live and study at the School of Art And Design. My illustrations deal with today’s pop cultural life but also serve a certain emotional and mysterious aspect and longing for depth in life. After I sketch an illustration, I start inking it. Ink is my absolute favourite tool! Lately, I use the Pentel pocket brush most of the time. It’s a great, comfortable brush. So, after inking, I scan my outlines and just colour it digitally and add certain textures.'
