What looks like a mess above is actually one of the more incredible painting methods we have ever seen; Japanese artist, Atsushi Takahashi, paints not with a brush but by squeezing oil and acrylic paint tubes directly onto the canvas. The result is a mesmerizing, almost 3D experience.

Atushi's work will be on display at Frantic Gallery in Japan from July 27—31st.
